(PHOTOS) Ogun State Battles With Illegal Dump Sites

Illegal dump sites are a regular sight in Nigerian cities. Residents dump their trash bags/cans in these sites because of the non-availability of a well-organized refuse collection system

Although, states like Lagos are now engaging professional private sector participation (PSP) in order to keep the mega city clean, some residents do not use their services because they feel the dump sites are better because of no financial commitments, inconsistency of the PSP operators and lack of regulation by the government.
However the illegal waste dumping site is causing a nuisance by the Federal express way in Ogun state axis of the road.
